A 3AM wakeup and we were on the road, heading for the wide bonneville salt flats. Utah never ceases to amaze me with it’s diversity and its strange landscapes. We drove into the salt for 20 minutes right as the sun began to crest over the horizon. The two of them changed and Michael waited to see his lady in HOT DANG, the dress was stunning, Kailey just radiated, and all I had to do was hop around like a little bunny catching all the angles of their love.
The whole shoot flew by in a jiffy and was so thick with genuine care that at one point I felt my eyes well up with those hot sticky tears. Everything went as planned and at the end I brought out this bag of confetti and we threw it at them… I didn’t mean for it to be thrown AT them, but they took it like champs and the pics made that 20 minute cleanup HECKA WORTH IT.
I am learning to love simple backgrounds. Like backgrounds that don’t take away or distract, but they add this aura of magic without stealing any of the focus. I AM GOING TO SHOOT HERE AGAIN forsuuuure.
